Every month, we like to highlight a few of our exceptional staff and give them a chance to share more about themselves and what they enjoy most about being a part of Concentrix Catalyst. This week, we shine a light on Gonzalo Gumbau, Local Delivery Manager.
Tell us about yourself.
I live in Argentina so naturally, I’m a big fan of Boca Juniors Club! I love soccer, Star Wars, and having a good time with my friends. I am proud of my family: my loving partner Cecilia and our beautiful daughter Lucía.
What do you do at Concentrix Catalyst?
I have been working at Catalyst for 10 years in SAP Systems and have specialized in Human Capital Management. As manager of the HR team for consultants, I help our clients through their transformation by managing the change from transactional human capital management (HCM) to end-to-end experiences (HXM). I work with the maintenance teams and their leaders to give solutions, ensuring they follow Catalyst’s quality standards that are aligned with the best business practices.
What do you love about your work?
I am passionate about finding the most efficient way to improve things. I enjoy learning from my success and failure and always try to make the best of each experience. I love to work with my team; we are deeply committed to HR.
What is something you are most proud of in your work at Concentrix Catalyst?
We have recently been greatly successful in implementing SAP Success Factors for our client, the most important Argentine company in the utilities sector. This is the first case in which the team implemented the complete SAP HCM modules to its best results while doing the Testing and Go Live phases 100% remotely due to COVID-19. This is a real milestone that sets our Catalyst working standards at a higher threshold.
What is something you’ve learned in your time at Concentrix Catalyst?
I have met many excellent people in Catalyst. Everyone has either taught me a lesson, a new skill or simply shared their knowledge with me. I strongly believe that is what learning is all about; trial and error, falling and getting up again. My working and personal growth at Catalyst is never-ending.
