Below, Mike Hepworth, Managing Director of Salesforce Marketing and Loyalty Cloud, chats with us about what sets Catalyst apart in the Salesforce vendor landscape.
Q: Tell us about the Salesforce practice at Catalyst.
A: We are starting to build this practice in a high growth fashion, which means that we need to add resources quickly. We are getting in front of Salesforce quite often and working with them on bringing products to bear. So having said that, we need a lot of support and help. I came onboard to lead the marketing side of this and to make sure that we are the best partner that we can be when it comes to Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and that entire suite of products.
Q: What excites you about working at Catalyst?
A: I am endlessly impressed with the leadership at Catalyst, from the top down, and I have never felt like I didn’t know where we were going. I think we have the most measured, experienced leadership that I’ve ever worked with. Day to day, what gets me out of bed is knowing that I’m going to learn something new. It doesn’t always have to be technical, but the team that I work with every day really challenges me to be a better manager.
Q: What excites you about the future of the Salesforce partnership with Catalyst?
A: The biggest and most exciting part of our relationship with Salesforce is the fact that they are pulling us into several of their product offerings. The latest example is with Loyalty Cloud.
We have helped Salesforce bring this product to bear in a very big way. That’s been the initiative that I’m most proud of. It will continue. I think we will have a long-term relationship when it comes to Loyalty Cloud and experiential loyalty with Salesforce. The opportunity is there if you want it.
Q: What advice would you give someone considering a career at Catalyst?
A: There’s a lot of learning and growth opportunity. There is the ability to move into different positions within different platforms, at different levels of expertise, and learn more interpersonal skills or move into management.
