Innovation interviews: The pandemic’s effect on media
Did the COVID-19 pandemic change the media and entertainment industry, or did it accelerate a trend that was already taking place?
For my latest Innovation Interview, I spoke with Concentrix Catalyst’s Media and Entertainment client partners, Timothy Sheehy and Jeffrey Thompson, about the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for Media and Entertainment companies post-pandemic. For traditional studios, this means changing their distribution models to better support streaming services, all while handling more complex customer data for the first time. It’s not an exaggeration to conclude that streaming is actually in its infancy and that we’ll see more innovation from the media industry in the years to come.
